ABOUT ME
I moved to Bristol 4 years ago after living for 5 very happy years in Brighton because I wanted to try out a new, exciting and bigger city... with more cider. Bristol is all of these things and more!
If you want somewhere with beautiful scenery, the friendliest people you can imagine meeting and an amazing music scene, Bristol is it. I'm much smitten with this city and don't know if I'll ever want to leave, especially since I have one of the best jobs in the world working on Countryfile for the BBC - cult Sunday night viewing here!
Apart from this I love seeing live music, going to lovely little pubs, playing frisbee and eating good food! I love meeting new people and love travelling. In general, I'd like to think I'm ab open-minded person and who loves to discover new things and have fun!
PHILOSOPHY
I am not sure what my personal philosophy is, But I believe in experiencing new things, having an open and positive mind, and getting to know as many people from as many different places as I can throughout my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to travel and to meet people from other countries. I have been on couchsurfing for many years now and it really has changed my life. I went to Argentina before couchsurfing and met hardly any locals, I went to Argentina after Couchsurfing and came back with beautiful and close Argentine friends. I have hosted people from many places and in the world and have wonderful, crazy and hilarious stories to tell from each encounter. You can't make this stuff up!
I hosted a lot of people when I lived in Brighton and met up with many others for nights out and drinks. Doing this helps me remember that the open attitude we have when we are travelling should never be forgotten. I now live in the wonderful Bristol and want to share my home and city here with courchsurfers too!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The stories I have come back with from my couchsurfing experiences are always very colourful, sometimes very stupid! I have made some of the best friends I have through this website though I could not have hoped to meet without it. It really is a wonderful resource and one that has made the whole world feel accessible and kind to me.
Interests
I love making and see and listening to music whenever I can! Since travelling around American I have become obsessed with country, American roots and bluegrass music but I love blues and rock too. If you stay with me in Bristol it's likely I will drag you to a gig somewhere - there's a great live scene here.
General interests include drinking cider, cooking yummy food, going for adventures in the countryside, playing frisbee and poker, travelling, meeting new people and dancing to fun music!
