ABOUT ME

I'm from Salvador, a big and sunny city in the northeast coast of Brazil. The more I travel, the more I learn to love and respect that place, where you can still walk around on barefoot.I love my friends 'cause they make my life delicious, and I think they love me because I have a fun, light, moody, mad and undeniably loving personality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted loads and have recently being a guest. Lucky enough to say I had only great times and met some of my best friends.

Interests

Travelling, playing football at the beach, hanging out to dance & talk, having a café, a beer, coconut water, a cigarette, a caipirinha...

Meeting old friends, making new ones, celebrating important things like life. Midnight sea dips are cool. Cooking tortilla better than spanish friends is a pleasure too.

Music, Movies, and Books

"The american movies from the 70's saved my life", someone said.

i am a classic film's fan, but there are a few, newer, i can't get tired of seeing again - like wild at heart, high fidelity, the 25th hour, dirty pretty things, the constant gardener.

I love music, and probably from that love (and a considerable music library) I happened to be an eventual DJ. I did it in some countries on my last trip, and back to Salvador, I am deejaying maybe twice a month.

I love all those things we all love, johnny cash, nina simone, rolling stones, la lupe. But what moves my heart was made in Brazil: gal costa, wilson simonal, tim maia, gilberto gil, caetano veloso, novos baianos, claudia, trio irakitan, banda black rio...

I haven't been reading enough, but my favorites fiction writers are Salinger, Isaac B. Singer, Hemingway, Maupassant, maybe another two more I can't remember now. A little hint: "Fup", by Jim Dodge is a book everyone should read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I asked my friends around the world to help me giving a present to a "aging" friend who lives in England. So, around his birthday, he received over 10 postcards written by people he never heard about from Spain, US., China, Argentina, Canada and Denmark saying Happy birthday - in their on languages, of course. I was happy when he guessed it was all set up by me, although I thought it would be hard to track the begin of that crazy mission.

I followed my friend Marcelo Collet, a paralympic swimmer, as a photographer on his challenging cross at the English Channel last year. We filmed a documentary. Together we travelled to a few countries and shared lifetime stories.

Teach, Learn, Share

Slice one lemon and put it in a glass with one or two spoonfuls of sugar.
Smash them with furious anger.
Put a lot of ice and a lot of cachaça. Shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it. You won't regret.
