Interests

I like to read (linguistics stuff, English/American and German literature), watch movies, play video games, watch football(soccer), keep my finger on the political pulse, watch stupid internet videos, drink beer and hang out with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Perhaps it's not amazing, but I did get to see the US soccer team in Switzerland. I got to see many of the US' best and up-and-coming players: Freddy Adu, Clint Dempsey, Brad Guzan and Michael Bradley, among others.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I do study linguistics and German, so I have reserves of knowledge about that. One arcane skill which I possess is the ability to take Germanic English words and pick them apart and find their meanings by comparing the word to cognates in other languages. This really gives you a whole new outlook and historical overview of the language. Perhaps not the most relevant skill, but cool nonetheless.
