Gaining research experience through a series of short term field jobs in amazing places before getting into grad school. I took the straight and narrow route through college. Its time to slow things down a bit.

I'm a nomad for now. I can cook a mean curry. I hike a lot, and work as a field techncian for an Oregon State Researcher. I play guitar and am working on banjo. I enjoy outdoor skills and reading a lot. I have a sweet pine cone collection.

I guess I got used to strangers crashing from being involved in music and having musicians crash at my place. It went off from there.

I like a lot of non-fiction books: The song of the Dodo, Deep Survival, Plows Plagues and Petroleum, Grasslands, basically anything about science. fiction: Ironweed, salinger

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hmmm... I saw a spotted owl. It was trying to attack us. Actually, I saw two... endangered? I think not.

Canoeing in the boundary waters was quite amazing, watching the sunset in three canoes lashed together in the middle of the lake with 6 great friends... classic.
