ABOUT ME

Dan and I are a couple of pretty easy-going people who love to experience new things, drink tea and learn about almost anything. We have a lot of plans to travel in the future - I'm a bit addicted to Latin America and Dan has always wanted to go to Japan and New Zealand, so we plan to combine the 3 in the ultimate trip.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We used to host when we were at Uni in Manchester last year, we met lots of great people and had a lot of fun hosting them! In our current house share we are unable to host but we still enjoy surfing from time to time

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We lived in the Student Igloo with Hannah Goharriz where we had quite a few surfers come to stay, and we've always really enjoyed the chance to share our (heavily tea-based) lifestyle with new people and learn about their cultures too. Last year we took our first couch-surfing trip around Europe, and loved having the opportunity to see the other side of the experience.

音乐、电影和书籍

We like a lot of different music, particularly modern electro and experimental 60s and 70s music that was clearly written on an acid trip. We read quite a bit and also love films that are a bit quirky - Julia has a particularly strange obsession with old, old, very old B-movies and classic monster movies like Bride of Frankenstein and Dan likes films such as Memento, The Usual Suspects and of course Lord of the Rings (the books too).

Julia once took a puma for a walk around the Bolivian rainforest! She's also been on Peruvian radio, joined a Mexican carnival parade and danced in the Saharan desert to entertain some nomadic Bedouin children. Dan has achieved some notable successes in eating and staring competitions (though he has never tried the two together - perhaps this will be his next project).

Julia can help with any fancy dress costume dilemma. Dan can teach you to juggle and solve the Rubik's cube.
