Overview
About Me
Chipmunk-cheeked sentimental thing. Growing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first used couchsurfing when I was traveling in Latvia and Lithuania in 2008. I had received a photography grant to work on a project abroad, and ended up bouncing around there for a few months. I met amazing people through here and was offered unending warmth and grace. I took a break for quite a while but recently reactivated my account.
Interests
photography, drawing, building the best relationship/friendships that i can manage, collecting that seems to lead to clutter, burritos, prison reform, restorative justice, tasty food and booze, coffee, listening to people be excited about anything, dancing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Galloped a horse with one of my best friends for several miles along a beach in Ireland during a light rain/sunset.
Teach, Learn, Share
I currently work full time for a nonprofit that serves young people, attend graduate school for conflict management and volunteer with a program called the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) at a local prison. I try to keep myself learning and engaged in dialogue with those around me. Genuine and challenging exchange (preferably while drinking beer) is not always easy to get to - but is when I am whole.
