Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've welcomed complete strangers into my home to share space, stories and food and was rewarded by experiencing kindness, gratitude and friendship. While traveling and couchsurfing myself I had and am having only good experiences, too. I practiced trust and never got disappointed - quite the opposite actually. :)

The best way to discover places through the eyes of a local and a great opportunity of sharing and connecting with random people.

Interests

I take care of myself by doing yoga and living healthy. ;)

A couple of years ago, I used to do martial arts, POI dancing and rock climbing, but my interests changed a bit. You would as well find me chilling out by a fire with a beer and a group of mates just doing nothing besides listening to self-made music.

I am a craftswoman. I have always been interested in all kinds of handcrafts, especially reusing materials to create furniture or other useful stuff. And although I do not need most of these tangible goods anyway. I enjoy spending some time on flea markets going through all the strange or funny things people trying to sell.

And of course traveling is what I really love - backpacking, walking, nature.. I am glad that I once discovered that traveling is not only about landscape but mostly about the people you meet living there. Not until you got to know some of them you truly begin to understand a foreign country.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading. I've been reading tons specialised books lately, concerning the topic communication, yoga and the art of living in itself. Different kinds of music spark my interest, these days mainly all kinds of Folk and Blues plus I like discovering local bands and browsing record stores.

Walking the pilgrim Way of St. James in Spain for 1000 km and feeling better with every step.
