I'm currently traveling in India with a trek to the Annapurna planned in October.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm pretty committed to being a volunteer for life. It seems that all the worthwhile tasks that bring support and love to peoples lives don't pay.

I'm learning to find the balance between letting things come to me and actively seeking the things I want.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with several hosts through Hospitality Club and really enjoyed myself. I just returned from Sicily where I had my first couch surfing experience. Of course the reason it was so fabulous was because my hosts were amazing people, however, it made me excited to join CS. The mission is the driving force of me joining.

Interests

I like drinking pots of tea from small cups, wine from goblets and eating with chopsticks. I'm endlessly entertained by the workings of the Universe. I am happy to stare out the window for hours. I like knitting, sewing and all things crafty. I love to cook! There is a particular joy I have when slicing into veggies. Popping into people's homes and sharing our lives for a few days is an interesting new past time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend to watch independent foreign films and documentaries. I am most interested in non-fiction and people's accounts of un-believable experiences. I like an odd assortment of world music. Since living in Virginia blue-grass has wormed it's way into my heart. I have a particular affinity for Willie Nelson at the moment.
