ABOUT ME

We have been traveling together for years and got married July 07. We are energized to travel and see as much of this world as we can. We are passionate about environmental issues, art, photography, traditions.
We have had various jobs from Americorps, which is similar to the PeaceCorps and can make a professional bard wire fence as one of our skills. Then we were wilderness field instructions doing therapy with at risk youth. We would backpack in the wilderness for 8 days straigt for each shift. We went to NZ on the working holiday visa. We consider ourselves to be real easy going, non-smokers, open minded, hard working individuals.
As far as couch surfing goes, we see that if we are asking you we will mold around your schedule and life. We can be all about hanging out and at the same time realize you might be working, ect and we are good at entertaining ourselves.We have a van and can get ourselves around. We don't smoke. We will treat your place with respect and gratitude. As far as food stuff goes, the pantry part of our van as we call it always has food in it so we can feed ourselves. We usually try to bring food to share tho esp for making dinners. As it does usually come up, Tiff is a vegetarian. Yet not a picky one, as long as meat can be picked out that is ok with me. I don't mind, I'll cook it,I just won't eat it.

PHILOSOPHY

The hope is for each person to find what personally drives them full of positive energy. We all have differnt motives to drive us to want to truly live this life, the tragedy is when we succome to our fears that we cannot either live nor find our dream.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We just love the couch surfing experience! This is the way to see a new place and meet people. We have been fortunate to recieve simply kindness from strangers such as just an offer for a shower or to harden up our ice packs. We cannot wait to be able to offer the same to other travelers when we have a place again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have been invited into peoples homes who have shown us so much trust and that experience has been rejuvenating for the soul. It has been great to get small glimpes into other people's life style in the countries we travel to. We have really enjoyed this and it has absolutely added to the quality of our travels.

Interests

Probably not too much we are not interested in. Anything new, horses (Tiff esp), BIG lovers of all animals, art (esp painting), photography, travel, outdoors and environment, books, living sustainable, riding bikes, water life, cooking, tea, finding new ways of reducing, parks.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many books! We are reading machines. We pretty much read anything and Tiff loves National Geographic and all sorts of magazines.
Music, all sorts of music we enjoy from young to old. Movies, Chris likes all kinds of movies. TIff is more of a documentary and comedy watcher.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, Arizona. On the way down we flew to beat this big amazing lighting storm. That was amazing. Then on the way up we got into a huge hiking high as we kicked it into gear to beat this huge line of 30 some pack mules coming up. It was exhilerating.

Teach, Learn, Share

Tiff was a horse trainer, so definately be able to help in that area. We can make a fire using the old bow method like the Native Americans. Art and writing are one of Tiff's passions.
