About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy your life - you only get one!
ABOUT ME
I am a friendly fellow from Finland who enjoys good verbal swordplay and sarcasm. =) I graduated from Turku School of Economics (University of Turku) fall 2013, moved to Helsinki and have now been living and working the city for about 7 years.
During my studies in Turku I was extremely active in the university's international activities. I was the head of our student organization's international activities and tutoring, so I got to enjoy life with a multitude of people from different cultures and walks of life! I advised them on all things related to Finland and especially on the university and life in Turku. I also partied hard with them, talked late nights about the meaning of life with them (with the help of not so inconsiderable amount of wine) and generally speaking fell in love with them.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is too short to have regrets.
Mistakes are the best way to learn.
If you've never made a mistake you've never truly lived at all!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My couch and mattress are available for travelers and I'm more than happy to meet up for coffee, drinks or some touristy stuff in Helsinki and the surrounding area. Even though I've already lived almost 7 years in Helsinki, I'm still more than happy to go out to explore the city with you. Spending the day with likeminded travelers sounds like a day perfectly well spent!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I met some amazing people while backpacking my way through Australia in 2008. Since then my couch has been available for travelers back in Turku. I've also had some dinner+drinks and heaps of partying with folk both in Melbourne and Turku.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love fantasy books and read them quite a lot. Not your everyday Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings or any of that mainstream stuff though.
With music I'm quite open. I'll listen to almost anything, unless it's the kind of rock which is played so hard that you can't even make out the lyrics. Hate that!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Slept in a tent outside for 3 nights in -30degrees.
Went backpacking around Australia alone.
Skydive from 14000 feet!
Watched a sunset on a rock in total silence except for the slow wawes hitting the shore. So beautiful!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to play pool at pro level or consult you on your business idea or problem, no matter what it is. I have a knack for "connecting the dots" and seeing the relevant things and making others find it too. 🙂
