About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much of the world as possible and make heaps of new friends and also to encourage people to experience New Zealand.
ABOUT ME
Friendly, get on with anyone. Love meeting new people and making new friends, love to travel and meet travelers. Even when I don't know a single word, I could listen to people talking in another language for hours. I don't smoke but I do enjoy a few drinks with friends every now and then. I can be a little crazy and random when I feel like it but can also be calm and just want to sit around with some interesting people and have good conversations, I guess it depends on who I'm around at the time. Don't let my crazy hair fool you though, most people would call me a nice friendly guy I hope.
PHILOSOPHY
I would say I'm a pretty peaceful guy and just like to get along with everyone, not a fan of unnecessary conflict. I live my life to have fun, to enjoy the company of my friends and to always be on the look out to meet new ones. I believe that God's up there somewhere, but I respect everybody's personal beliefs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Try to offer my couch to as many people as I can.
Hosted many many surfers from all over the world while I was living in New Plymouth in 2008/2009.
Traveled all through Europe for five and a half months in 2009, Couchsurfing almost the entire way and making a whole lot of new friends in the process.
Did smaller trips in 2011 and 2012 again mostly by Couchsurfing, definitely the best way to travel.
Hosting again now from Auckland.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Lived in Auckland all my life, met some people at a music festival who lived in Taranaki. Heard they were coming up to Auckland for a few days so offered them a mattress at my house. They soon returned the favour 6 months later and then another 6 months after that. By that time I loved it so much in Taranaki that I moved down there! Amazing how things can change your life so drastically!
Interests
I love Punk Rock Music, which is often misunderstood. I find it happy, energetic and inspirational music that always puts me in a good mood.
I'm near obsessed with Professional Wrestling, something about it I find amazingly entertaining. To me, WWE is the world's greatest soap opera and I'm hooked!
I love Tenpin Bowling, used to bowl in 5 leagues a week! I don't bowl as much anymore, just twice a week, but I now love to coach kids in bowling.
I love comic books and toys and board games and video games and anything that lets me still feel like a kid!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I mostly love Punk Rock! My favourite bands are: Rancid, Anti-Flag, The Unseen, Bouncing Souls and Dropkick Murphys. However I am open to many genres of music.
Movies: Once decided to watch the entire list of the greatest 100 Amercian films ever made, watched a lot of great stuff. So far The Godfather series is probably my favourite from the list. Love Alfred Hitchcock films, my favourite being Vertigo. Also love foreign films, particularly French New Wave, though my favourite film is the Italian film 'Life is Beautiful'.
Books: Books? Who has time to read a book these days? Haha no I wish I did more reading but at the moment all I can fit in is the occasional comic book! Still haven't grown out of the X-Men, Spiderman, Batman, etc. Haha!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling through over 60 different countries, mostly using CouchSurfing. I have had many unforgettable experiences from everywhere I've been and met so many incredible new friends. The amount of amazing hospitality and generosity I received from people in all of those countries still blows me away.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmmm... I'd like to think I'm an ok coach for Tenpin Bowling, I have a certificate that says so anyway haha, it's an easy sport to be above-average at once you've learned a few pointers.
I know a few yo-yo tricks, could maybe teach you a few.
I used to tutor Maths, but who wants to learn that? Yo-yo-ing is a far more important life skill!
Finally, I could teach you everything you NEVER wanted to know about Wrestling. I don't know why people disregard it without giving it a chance, if you overlook the ridiculousness of it for a minute and don't take it at all seriously, it becomes immensely entertaining, nothing makes me laugh more.
