ABOUT ME

I consider myself open-minded and friendly person, who loves meeting new people and trying out new things. I try to use every minute of my life to the fullest, which means sometimes I do too much at once, which drives my husband crazy, but I enjoy it a lot. I like building deep friendships and try to be myself in every situation although it's risky sometimes. I love life and its challenges and try to learn how to live together a better life as a community, sharing the talents each of us has been given. I live with my husband and our four kids. We are a homeschooling family and teach our kids together in a community of other homeschoolers.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything in my life has a purpose and even my weaknesses can be used to help other people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love getting to know new places not as a tourist but as a part of the community living there, learning from the locals and feeling the atmosphere of the place. I'm working in my free time as a tour guide in my hometown Bratislava and love introducing the newcomers as well as those living here for ages to an unknown face of our town.

Interests

Couldn't live without nature, mountains and running. I love travelling and consider it the best way of opening your mind and learning to understand yourself and others. I like challenges, all kinds of sports,discovering the unknown, scouting, tasting exotic and strange-looking meals, learning and teaching languages.

I like all kinds of music but am not always in mood for every style:) Apocalyptica, ColdPlay, Simon&Garfunkel, U2, Kenny G, Radiohead, Vangelis, Enya, Two Wooden Stones...

Can't resist books by C.S.Lewis, Richard Bach, Exupery, Eric Blair and Hemingway. Anything with a MESSAGE behing the words.

Our guest room with an almost 100 years old piano, our homeschooling lifestyle with four kids (with tips and tricks on how to stay sane😉), green view from the window, tips on places to visit and if I don't fall asleep with the kids, a nice talk over a glass of something
