We're currently backpacking around Latin America and Europe during 2009. We're pretty laid back, friendly, and really keen to meet different people from around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've hosted a few times in our hometown of Melbourne to really lovely people. We've made some great friendships, and have had a lot of fun getting to know other travellers. We love hosting, it is a great way to get included in the travelling scene from your own living room.

We haven't stayed on anyone else' couch, but hope to change this during our adventures in Europe in November/December of this year.

Interests

We love being outdoors, hiking and spending lazy days with coffees and DVDs. We prefer getting to know a new town by sitting with a good book in the town square, rather than visiting the "sites" (although we do still enjoy the latter). We're also interested in good TV shows (big Lost fans), board gaming, music, movies and dogs.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: We'll watch anything that's good, but will particularly enjoy comedies featuring Michael Cera.
Music: we both love reggae, sufjan stevens and tim armstrong solo album! We've also been getting into some Spanish music from Cafe Tacuba and Julieta Venegas.
Books: Pretty much anything by John Wyndham.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camped on an active volcano in Guatemala, and toasted marshmallows in a stream of lava.
