ABOUT ME

I'm a qualified teacher and found out I don't like teaching much. So I did substitution work until i had enough money to travel and then I travelled... A LOT! I can't stop and don't ever want to. But this year I need to take a break from travel (as hard as that is) and concentrate on getting my arse over to the States to live... So here I am in Galway, being a nanny and living vicariously through the throngs of people I host. (I'm only here til mid December though)

I've a lot to learn yet but I'm having a ball getting there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed all over Europe with my ex-boyfriend, and by myself in the States, and came to the conclusion that it's one of the best inventions ever. I've also hosted quite a few people since landing in Galway- feels nice giving back after all the hospitality I've been shown over the years.

Movies? Almost too many to mention. Apparently my taste is American Indie, but my favourite movie is Atonement. Breaks my heart everytime. Although I found a couple of contenders: Beasts of the Southern Wild and Incendies. Watch them!
I also really like French movies, which may make me ponsy, but I think them French folk just know how to make good movies, really good movies (particular favourites are Little White Lies, Tell No One, The Intouchables)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Em, I think travelling solo as a young girl in the likes of Thailand, East Africa and Latin America is pretty amazing. Also doing a skydive- still can't believe I had the balls! AND I RODE AN OSTRICH!
