Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host and get hosted. My current participation is housing homeless HSU students when they move here from out of the area and haven't found a to live yet. I am sympathetic as I have been a houseless student surfing until something came up and I am more than happy to return the favor. I love to surf with people when I travel, it makes the experience more genuine for me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted about 7 people and have surfed twice in San Francisco, once in Oregon, and a couple of times around Arcata. I haven't done as much surfing as I would like to. I have some big travel plans coming up and hope to find cool people to surf with in Central/South America. Our Arcata ambassador, Artemisia, hosts CS parties and outings, I participate in them and meet people in the local CS community as well as travelers even if I am not personally hosting them.
