About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find a path I can follow and love.
ABOUT ME
I have done a fair amount of travelling; far less than I am going to have done. I am a people person, having been a bartender.
PHILOSOPHY
I like not to get too caught up in the rat race and to keep my perspective somewhat to the ground. Truly important things to me are being happy and that comes by treating yourself and others in a psitive manner. I'm game to try anything once or twice or a million times and I reserve judgements for others to make. Friends, more than wealth, are what I strive to accumulate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I worked at the Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver with John & Diana, a couple from Sydney, Australia who moved to Perth shortly after my girlfriend and I went for an extended trip around Oz. They gave us a couch that was more like a bed and had it's own room - alright, it was a bed! But the same feel was there! - for almost 6 weeks while we worked 5 weeks and saved enough to drive to Melbourne where we finally sold the old Ford Falcon.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies I can take or leave, usually.
Music: Cesaria Evora, Slayer, Hank Williams III, Clutch, Led Zeppelin, Modest Mouse, Iron Maiden, Classical, Wolfmother, John Prine, Pink Floyd, Turbonegro, Miles Davis, Billie Holiday...etc...
Books: History or historically based fiction, anything good, really. Not so much a romance reader. Faves: An Instance of the Fingerpost by Iain Pears. The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. Chris Offutt's The Same River Twice: A Memoir.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wow! This one is open-ended. Seeing the curve of the Earth from the top if Uluru. Lucking into a chance to see the Emperor of Japan. Meeting Metallica. Lobster fishing. Petting a tiger in Laos. Learning that steak does not have to be well done. How does one pick?
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook a wide variety of styles. I can show how to pair food with wine.
I can help you write an letter in very good English if you have troubles with that sort of thing.
Interested in American football? I know it well.
