Interests

QUESTIONS! The kind that if you're really, really lucky bring more questions. The kind that sit on the end of your noise waiting patiently for you to open your eyes already. The kind that you're liable to already have the answer for, or that the answer for which marvelously appears upon the tail of the discovery of the question--the answer following just behind as if attendant upon its master, the question. NOT so much 20 questions or open-ended questions asked by people who want a yes/no or fortune cookie sized easy answer served up on a silver platter, the one-size-fits-all solution for all occasions...cause "best" doesn't exist out of context. Demand for all- or cross- environmental answers exceeding appreciation of principles which can be gleaned through observation and contemplation and differently applied in each context, seems a red-flag of a conditioned and programmed mindset...world view...paradigm...whatever. in other words, a "normal" person. this mindset/perspective/whatever, also serves as one of the many possible functioning inhibitors of the next item on our list: Mistakes as part of a Process. The journey. Things you can't accomplish alone. Communication = to achieve together. The ephemeral miracle of interaction = some Thing grown between multiple parties. The cultivation of the way these parties relate, of the 'relationship' between them, to allow for the unhindered growth of this thing w/o independent existence. When the whole of a group is greater than the sum of it's parts. Not missing a good live music show. 'Congress of the Mind'

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC is not for watching.

MOVIES are for watching. i'm not saying that it would never be ok to dance to a movie, only that movies ARE ok for sitting and looking at. ahem.

BOOKS are both for reading and listening, they're versatile! also make excellent fuel, booster seats for children and short people, shelf supports and props of other kinds, too--such as for one's ego.

THE TELE oh...the tele has good things too, ya kno? and not just limited to those Adult Swim shows and the South Park. before South Park i never understood that shit has a low self esteem. Not shit like stuff in general, shit like Poop. Makes perfect sense. Poop was once food and food is horribly degraded. When once we delighted to have it in our mouths--possibly paying good $ for the privilege, consuming it and bringing it into our bodies with ritual and relish--most of us are now repulsed by even the thought of any kind of personal contact with it. While Poop itself, like any other has-been, wants only to reclaim it's former glory: to be loved and cherished, to once again be in someone's mouth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

if you knew me, you'd think it pretty amazing that i can walk and breath at the same time...and i can, really. i swear.

Teach, Learn, Share

i try to make it a point to make the point
about 'knowing stuff' not making a person smart, merely knowledgeable...
and only of the things they know!
one of the measures of stupid, then,
is how often that
knowledgeable person attempts to be 'knowledgeable' about shit they don't know shit about.

one of the many forms of stupid is as stupid does, which,
by all accounts,
leaves me pretty damn stupid.

i think the expression "stupid is as stupid does" exists as it does because it was misquoted by some dumbfuck like me and spread around by a bunch of the similiar...cause if "stupid is" = "as stupid does" then "_____ is" = "as _____ does" so "is" = "as does"...so this poor person must have been trying to tell us "no, no, no, stupid! is as does, stupid, IS AS DOES!"

and then i walked away like "yeah...stupid really is as stupid does, my gosh, but that sure is a truism...i'm gonna have to tell somebody that..." not even realizing that the message i garbled, the message hiding still in my garbled version is like some kinda crazy awesome magic thing. if i were to make it real and use it right...why, it would be like x-ray specks on the world!
