ABOUT ME

I am somewhat of a workaholic who needs to remind himself to take breaks and get outside more.
Things I like to do: computer, cook, see movies, bowling [poorly], riding motorcycles, playing pool, nature [mountains, lakes, oceans, trees, rivers, etc.], theater [I used to sing and act in plays].
I enjoy just about any music style [except for some heavy metal and hard opera].

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I WISH TO LIVE:
I attempt to live a life free of judgment [not easy] and to help others in need if I can [I was not always this way].

MY SOAP BOX:
I made a bumper sticker that says... "Since when did the Space Race and the Arms Race become more important that the Human Race". I think it is appalling that the richest country on the planet spends trillions of dollars on war and space exploration - yet has homeless and starving people that they do not care for [this includes the elederly who in our society are throw-aways instead of revered for their knowledge and wisdom].

MY GOAL:
To be the best me I can be [whatever that is]

I am new - so for right now I am learnig about this site.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm from the 60's era when you crashed out on people's couches [or floors] at any given time so I've done a lot of couch surfing in the past.

Interests

My Wife, My Dog [Happy],Classic Cars, Computers, Graphic Arts [all Arts for that matter], Motorcycling, Teaching, Stand-up Comedy, Guitar, and Good Health. I also enjoy good live entertainment from theater to music.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES:
My all-time favorite is "The African Queen" - great movie with only 2 people [mostly] and no special effects - just great acting.
I like most movies except for real gory ones. I prefer good comedy overall.

MUSIC:
The Rolling Stoens are my all-time favorite. That being said, I like Jazz, Blues, a variety of Rock, Classical, Spanish Guitar, Most country, 60's Rock, etc.

BOOKS:
Mostly books that teach [most any subject from computers to handy-man stuff]

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That's a doozy of a question. 1st. I'll say that, in Costa Rica, you can see both the PAcific and the Atlantic Oceans from on top of a volcano - I believe it is the only place in the world you can do so.

Subjectively or Objectively, the rest of the answer could be quite varied. That's a good one for one-on-one conversations perhaps.

Teach, Learn, Share

NUMBER ONE: Our children are our heritage ans we should do all we can to ensure they have a really good education [unfortunately that is becoming a real issue in the U.S.]

I have a lot of experience in internet marketing and sales and, wholesale and retail sales. I love to share my knowledge by teaching classes in e-Commerce.

I am an instructor at 2 community colleges as well as teaching one-on-one and group classes.
I also market a number of PDF tutorials for those that like to learn on their own.

I am working on getting a program going at a senior center to help these folks become internet savvy and maybe even add to their meager fixed incomes.
