ABOUT ME

I'm 50, retired from my first career ~ Engineering and Business Consulting. Now I work with local programs to repair and upgrade homes for folks who can't afford to. We focus on safety and health issues first, then energy upgrades. In a few months my last child will launch out on her own. I'm thinking of taking my project management and building experience on the road. I did a trial run in New Orleans in 2008, where I found a few tools and some know-how could be immediately useful.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm very curious. So, I guess my working philosophy is that one can't know too much.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had a few surfers and surfed once through CS, though I've done a lot of both informally over the years. Our house has been under construction for over a year. Just recently got to the point where we can provide surfers with reliable heat and water!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rowed at the Goodwill Games in Moscow before the wall fell. A lot less traffic then.

The aforementioned building skills ~ yes, I am liable to fix things around the house. Also, have some savvy with investment, money planning.
