CURRENT MISSION

Well it was dia del muerto in ensenada... but it seems i need to reroute back to mn and pick up my old dog... after that... either diego or the keys for winter... i tend to move pretty serendipitously though... so... who knows.

ABOUT ME

I love the road... and I have an aversion to all things stagnant. I aspire to be an author... i set out to write short fiction (Hemingway and Faulkner are my gods... Kerouac is currently making a bid for deity status) and poetry (t.s. Eliot, Shakespeare, Langston Hughes, Ginsberg, Dr. Seuss.. seriously.. its all about the lorax) but my life got so fictional when I hit the road that I am compelled to write about it.. Im going to try and travel around the world on foot and write a book about it.. basically go to Hawaii the long way. But Jake.. what about the Atlantic?! and the Pacific?? and the other 5 that don't matter as much?! Boats will be involved when it comes to crossing the salty ponds... And theres more.. much more, but godamit.. if I write anymore, I wont have anything original to say when I sleep on your couch...

Those are all other peoples philosophies of course... I suppose.. if i was being payed to say something pithy yet powerful that employed alliteration for a bonus, I might say..... I believe that associating the definition of success with affluence is a mistake.. and not a small one... time is infinitely more valuable than the legal tender it is so often pimped for. I endorse Risk over security, Truth over comfort, and Love over luxury. And, more than anything, I believe there is something better at the core of humanity than the rapacious, warped caricature of its potential that it displays so prominently in the headlines every day...something better than the part that has this world imploding on all fronts... and Id like to find it. There's a way that each woman and man can live and love beautifully without stepping on another's throat, and I know for fucksure that its not this clusterfuck of a system we dub the capitalist democracy... I don't think they have a word for it in your social studies book. I'm currently brainstorming... it might be worth your time as well.

Finding someones is never the issue... the world seems to be full of someones... and Ive found plenty of them. Finding me, now there is a challenge... and one i fully accept.. every day. Its like a beautiful introspective version of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. Cus shes certainly not in Egypt... where i thought every fucking time. Still bitter at that show.. and that black woman. And all of Carmen's corrupt and calloused cohorts...

Interests

mmmm love, and things related to love. Also, music.. and things related to- ok thats dumb. Bill Murray. Because right now one of my favorite combinations is on the tv and I am on the couch that I'm currently crashing on.... I'm in a pretty good space for the next string of moments... crashing on the couch of my best friend since i was four... i suppose the syntax there might be confusing. Let me clarify. Jon has been my best friend since i was four. I'm curently on his couch. The time between now and four was not entirely spent on his couch, which, as furniture tends to do, has changed faces and locations over the years. I'm watching where the buffalo roam. Bill Murray playing Hunter s Thompson. Its like a two hour session of multiple orgasms.. most men aren't supposed to be able to do that. current quote "I'm all for dope and ghosts, man.. i mean nobody's bigger" God.. tangent.. fuck.. k, more interests: card games.. chess.. Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Don't let your life suck. Most of that is on your shoulders. And for god's sake, take responsibility for the things in your head and in your heart. Thats the point isn't it? Of life? To figure out what belongs in those places and what's bullshit? Also, I recommend that you investigate LSD. At least once.
