About Me

CURRENT MISSION

record something new every day

ABOUT ME

trying to make ends meet in a new city, and spending as much time in between escaping it. one thing I've learned about myself while living in Buenos Aires is that I'm perhaps not the city girl I thought I was.. I'm fascinated by nature, meeting people in small towns and will follow any road that ends at the ocean.

PHILOSOPHY

I really like people but sometimes I like animals more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After being introduced to this traveling exchange in Europe, I couldn't wait to host people back home in Richmond. For the time I spent there, I loved sharing my town and my friends with the fellow traveler stopping by.

Since living in Buenos Aires, I've met some wonderful people, both locals and travelers and other in-betweens like myself, and have been so grateful to have CS as a means to connect and share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experience was staying with a couple in Portugal who handed me a set of keys and told me to make myself at home. I was so impressed with their generosity and openness that I vowed to offer the same upon my return to the U.S.
So far I've hosted people from California, Maryland and Israel. I've surfed farms, mountain towns, big cities, and relied on CS during my first terrifyingly exciting week of moving to a new country, and have met countless, unforgettable people who contacted me during their stays in Buenos Aires. It's an amazing way to get to know a new city, make friends out of strangers and remember that as individualistic as any of us may be, we're all in this together.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite instrument is the accordion, and also love the violin & cello, and downright passionate, folksy campfire-style jam sessions, the kind that stretch the lungs and ache the throat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't help being blown away by every single baby animal I see.. it's impossible how cute they are.
