ABOUT ME

Going by my confused accent, you might be able to tell I was born/raised in Canada (Vancouver), but have lived and worked in England (Oxford) for two years. It's been an incredible experience to make a life in a new country and I'm doing it all over again here in Norway.

I'm moderately active with running and cycling, highly social, and value having good friends. Health and wellness are important to me, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying a pint or two!

Analysis and strategy intrigue me, and I enjoy forcing my brain to think outside the box.

Above all, I love to laugh and enjoy the moment with the people around me.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is about enjoyment, wherever you are on this earth. It may not always be easy, but it shapes us into the person we are today - embrace your experiences.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing is conducive to many thing I value: meeting new people, sharing space and experience, and travelling. So far I have had the privilege of the above with some fabulous people in several countries, whether surfing or just getting to know those who are in my nearest cs community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Meeting some fabulous people in Oslo, Barcelona, Berlin, Budapest, Stockholm, and Oslo. Gotta love this community...

Movies: Casino Royale, Wallace & Gromit Curse of the Were Rabbit, Johnny English, Alien. To name a few.

Music: Radiohead, Putamayo, St Germain, Tom Petty, The Hip, Neil Young, I'm happiest with a variety!

Books: Terry Pratchett - his parodies are hilarious! Paolo Coehlo, and whatever catches my eye in the library. I've read CS Lewis, Tolkien (did you know they were good friends in Oxford?), and JK Rowling. For these three, I love their descriptiveness.

Always more than one...

Swam with nurse sharks on the coast of Belize. (my guide even made me kiss one)

Jumped into water from a 60ft (20 metres) cliff. And survived. :)

Skydived several times.

80% of success in life is simply showing up. I used to use this philosophy when I struggled to get myself to the gym for a workout.
