I make documentaries in virtual reality, film and audio installations - which is also the topic of my PhD.

I was born in America, have lived in the UK since 2002 and worked/studied in Hong Kong and Kazakhstan.

I love to cook, go to (and make) art exhibitions, go to the pub and watch and make films.

My ideal CS guests are: quirky, open minded, laid back, LGBT-friendly, chatty, curious about Bristol and the world.

As I often travel alone, I want to have decent conversations with people - not just see different places from a hotel and only visit tourist spots.

I've also had so many people host me around the world that I'd like to host when I can - it's couchsurfing karma.

I once ate some dodgy cheese in Catalonia. I was hitch-hiking over the Pyrenees over a few days, and by the time I reached southern France, I had to be rushed to hospital. It was the only time since I was born that I spent the night in hospital. I must say, French hospitals aren't too bad.
