ABOUT ME

I like so many things that it is hard to settle on a self description. Favorites: sunsets, birds, forests, flowers, smiles, kindness, learning new software tricks, hugs, making friends, cats, planning and going on trips, swimming, camping, bluegrass music, documentaries, stillness.

PHILOSOPHY

As birds sing and flowers bloom, so to can people enjoy being in the moment. Let the dancing begin!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A newbie, I will be couch surfing in Austin, TX to be near when my first grandchild is born.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I remember couching in a home in Switzerland in 1971, where I saw my first hand-held shower. In central France, having given a ride to a young Parisian couple, I stayed over with them in a mountain retreat. Another French couple returning home to Nice from holiday, after catching a ride with me, invited me to stay for a delightful dinner.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made a 9500 mile driving trip around the USA one summer with my two preteens, from Daytona Beach to San Francisco and back, with many national parks between. One highlight was swimming in Boiling River hot springs in Yellowstone Nat'l Park.
