ABOUT ME

I moved a lot growing up, and was an MK from Japan, one of seven kids, married to someone who is also one of seven kids but lived in the same house his entire life. We have four children ourselves, plus many neighbor kids who keep the household bustling most of the time. I love traveling and daydreaming. I would love to do much more overseas as our kids are getting older.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is precious. I want to make mine count and pay forward the great things God has given me. Faith, Family, Friendship, Forgiveness, Fellowship, Fun! (sorry, I was on a roll)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Awesome couchsurfing experience in Tulsa Oklahoma with Jean. I can't remember when I've been so tired after a long drive. Having a nice place to shower and sleep with the nicest hostess ever, really made me a believer. Great idea, this Couchsurfing!!

Interests

We love Hiking, Traveling, Camping. Would love to do more overseas after the kids have been launched.
My husband loves collecting sports memorabilia, films, hiking and golfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music by James Taylor, Nickelcreek, Amy Grant, Mannheim Steamroller, Switchfoot, etc.
Favorite Movie: "Sound of Music", and romantic comedies, and favorite books are historical biographies. Recent favorite is "Life and Death in Shanghai".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing? Well, giving birth and raising kids is right up there. On the other end of the spectrum, being with people and their families when they slip away is pretty profound as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to Teach in a way that is punctuated by congruent living, Learn by putting insight into action, and Share by opening heart and home to new friends and ideas.
