ABOUT ME

We are two young twenty women who are backpacking around Europe for the first time. I (Dani) am very interested in history and international relations (politics) and environmental protection. Jenna is a pastry chef and she can pick out a bakery from 200 meters away! We are very enthusuastic about travelling and love meeting new people!

PHILOSOPHY

Hmmm... interesting question. If I knew why I live my life, I may not be taking this trip. I just finished school and I'm not entirely sure the direction my life should be taking. Generally I like to think I treat people well in the hope tahat I will be treated the same. I come from somewhat privilaged roots (comparatively speaking) and I think that in order to truly appreciate your position in life you should put yourself in others' places and see what they have to deal with on a daily basis. I guess I"m still looking for myself...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have not couch surfed before, but we would like to try and hopefully meet some cool peopl; so far our experiences at hostels have not been what we have expected; I guess we have just had some bad luck so far.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jenna is a music freak and if you like it, chances are she's heard of it. We are pretty open to all kinds of music; electronic, dance, rock, classic, indie, jazz.... pretty much everything. We aren't really big movie watchers, and as far as books go, I love that I have more time to read now. Generally, I like non fiction and biographies, or anything that has a twisted sense of humour (sarcasm is God's gift to witty people...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have been to the Canadian Rockies this past winter and it was phenomenal. We hope to see glaciers in Switzerland tomorrow!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can knit, Jenna can cook. Like, wicked ass cook. Dinner, dessert and everything in between. I like to discuss ideas from world politics to what we are doing here. I love to learn about other peoples' lives and maybe even try living them for a while...
