About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be able to hold my breath the whole way through long tunnels on trains

ABOUT ME

I am off on another marvellous adventure. My first trip a few yeqrs qgo was filled with the most wonderful couch surfing moments: lakeside picnics, and bridge parties, family dinners and late converstaions with fascinating people. And I cannot wait to meet a few more.

I enjoy driving, not super fast or anything, just the sense of moving with good music and fading light. I love taking photos with the trusty nikon FM and try to capture things that might otherwise be overlooked. I dabble in poetry but most of it sounds like 90s rap. Perhaps I should dabble in rap. Laughing is bliss, I could laugh forever. Unexpected, perspective changing discussions with new words on life and love, most likely over red wine or tea. I like goofing around and kind of joking or wrestling a little bit, just being silly really.

PHILOSOPHY

Todo es hermoso! It means: everything is beautiful.

The number of personal philosphies I have would fill the sky, perhaps i could say a few. These are things I have scratched down over the years.

There can be no generic paradise, each must have his own. Right now, mine is empty night time citylife with traffic lights.

If nobody speaks of remarkable things, how do we know they exist?

And there is nothing left to do
But to kiss once again, and part,
Nay, there is nothing we should rue,
I have my beauty,--you your Art,
Nay, do not start,
One world was not enough for two
Like me and you.
-Oscar Wilde

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I discovered couch surfing a few yeqrs ago and have been tingling with excitement since. The idea that everybody chooses to give of themselves for the betterment of the whole is revolutionary to me. And you truly meet some of the most magical people on earth.

As soon as I return to Australia, I will continue the travelling experience by meeting more interesting people that can stay with me!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did much couchsurfing when I travelled through europe a few years ago when I was 18, i had the time of life and was surprised every day. I felt warm and happy and raved about couchsurfing everywhere I went. We have had a few couchsurfers at my family home in australia which has been lovely as well.

Interests

Dancing, all the time, I adore the freedom. I love film, live music - of all sorts, tea, my two brothers and scrabble!

Music, Movies, and Books

i could discuss films for forever! I will save this for when we meet but let me say three highly highly key words: Leon the Professional.
The world would be that much dimmer if music was not around. Right now I am listening to a lot of bowie... and queen.
I love reading! Imagine if i shouted that out loud on a bus or something. That would be grand! 'Catch 22, short stories by Capote, and books by Kurt Vonnegut are my favourite at the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing things to me tend to be the simplest: a beautiful hill with afternoon light on it and some sheep, a warm cup of tea, catching someones eye across the room

Teach, Learn, Share

There are endless possibilities to the things I can learn and i fully intend on learning most all of it. I am open to anything you may be able to teach, including languages, culture or simply a new word. I can teach you how to rockclimb! Whcih I suppose is a little different and we can share poems, philosophies and photos!
