About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to follow knowledge like a sinking star
ABOUT ME
I like being outdoors, but I'm not an outdoorswoman. I like reading, but I don't get much time for reading what I want to because I'm in university. I like music, but I'm not the most knowledgeable about it. I sort of dabble in everything. I like painting. I like cooking, although I'm not that experienced at it. I'm a hard worker. I wish that I could grow my own food and make my own clothes, but I'm not that skilled.
PHILOSOPHY
I want to affirm life and restore what has been broken.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfing was the way I got to know locals as I travelled in Europe during the fall of 2008. Now, it's hard to make time for the local CS community, but once I graduate from university I hope to be more active and host more often.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
CSers are so generous and fun! My favorite Halloween ever was the one I spent at a CS party in Dublin. It's so easy to strike up conversation and feel like friends both with hosts and at CS gatherings.

Music, Movies, and Books
music: www.kexp.org (online streaming of a Seattle, WA, USA radio station), indie music, classical music like Chopin
movies: Newsies, What's Up Doc?, BBC miniseria like The Complete Jane Austen
books: Recently, I have enjoyed The Great Gatsby by Fitzgerald, The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky, and The Bitch in the House by Cathi Hanauer. I'm rereading Homer's Odyssey.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing the sun rise is beautiful! Mountains never cease to amaze me! I could watch the ocean for hours!
One of my most amazing experiences so far is studying in Brussels for the fall of 2008.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have all sorts of random knowledge stored in my head; I don't forget facts about history or places or things that often. I think it would be great fun to be a tour guide when I'm in grad school after I finish university, and then I'd gladly give tours to surfers in whatever city I end up in! I don't really have any specialized knowledge. I know a bit about a lot of different things, but I can't name one or two things that I'm particularly good at and could share.
