ABOUT ME

I am a young bilingual actor who is obnoxiously loud while enjoying bad music and very grounded and spiritual with yoga. I try to live everywhere in between those two things.

Being young and queer makes me think about the great span of life we have access to. I like to think that I try to expand those lines. How to be as versatile a human being as possible.

Parties are great but I relate better to people when there is less noise around me. Sometimes shy, sometimes overly confident.

Be comfortable with me and I'll be open and comfortable with you.

PHILOSOPHY

My favourite yoga teacher said this to me one time. I try to live by it.

"You are not your thoughts, you are only a witness to your thoughts. All bodies have histories. Those histories are full of pain, anger, sorrow, worry, jealousy, judgement, destruction; but also of joy, generosity, openness, kindness, compassion, freedom, confidence and love. Those histories guide the choices we make in life, the attitudes we have towards all things and beings. If I had the other person's body, I would do as they do. If the other person had my body, they would do as I do."

This is not an excuse for doing harm or rationalising evil actions, but a way for me to accept the past as just what it is and understand that humanity is imperfect, that I will make mistakes and pay it forward.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very busy during the school year and rarely could host, but I always have a moment to chat. I am a very social person.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started by simply meeting a couple people through CS: 1 in my hometown of Ottawa and 1 in Paris. The concept of this project is great and everybody's willingness to meet new people and get exposed to new things is very engaging. I was then hosted during my stay in Europe and India. I then hosted a couple of times in my small bachelor in Toronto. Great times everywhere!

Interests

Theatre, yoga, having music playing all the time, languages and accents, furthering thought, rap music in my underwear, reminding myself not to drink too much, sitting in a café a little too long, writing about the sillyness and wonders of life, Ancient Roman history, the strange powerful figures of history.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 17, I was asked to leave theatre school on the pretense that I wasn't old enough, ready enough. I went through depression. I made money. I travelled alone to Europe and India when I was 18. I went back to that same school. I'm entering my last year now.
