About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To boldly go where I've never gone before!
ABOUT ME
Wow, describing myself, huh? Well, I have a decent amount of wisdom; hang around 'til you're in your forties, and somethings are bound to stick with you. I think the semicolon is very underrated, as well as the dramatic flair of copperplate gothic font; it commands attention. See, another semicolon; they flow everywhere!
Enough typography. I'm a father of four, but only three live in this abode full-time. It's a blended family thang. I'm a husband of one, but I learned from my first marriage how to be a better husband, IMO. My wife's outlook may differ.
I prefer comedy to horror movies,
Mangos over kiwis,
Granola over yogurt, together i mean, not compared to eachother.
Respect and admire other cultures.
Optimistic.
Contact me for more specifics; I could babble longer, but what's the point. I'll just say stuff that's irrelevant to the purpose of this textbox. See.
PHILOSOPHY
It's taking me two nights to work on this; these are truly introspective questions and I'm not sure I can do them justice, because I have some difficulty admitting things to my self. Not to give the impression that I live in denial, I just don't like to give myself shout-outs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm hoping to participate in more local cs events which exceeded my expectations. It helped me to find out how big and active my local community is.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet, but I hope to begin in Portland, OR in November. Rose City, here I come!
Interests
Bicycling, and trying to promote the velo lifestyle in a place that has 110-degree weather about 45 days in a row, on a good year. Blood, sweat, and gears(not too many) on a steel frame. Nirvana. Smiling people are what I like to find wherever I go, so I try to give a smile to get one back. It's purely selfish on my part.

Music, Movies, and Books
More of a magazine, internet reader, moreso than literature. Read How Starbucks Saved My Life last, but obsessed over it and had to read it all without considering my need for sleep. I'll do that with books often. I find I will read more autobiographies and history books than fiction, but I can easily be drawn in to an action novel.
Now short stories, I'm all over them. Dylan Thomas, O. Henry, essays, opinion columns. Keep it brief, or you'll lose my attention.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen the birth of all my children, and in my lifetime hopefully,to see Barack Obama become president! This will be the best presidental general election we will have seen as a nation in many years.
Teach, Learn, Share
No doubt, life is a journey; drink it up where you can get it, and enjoy it when it comes to you.
