About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finish my work with the Peace Corp and get to Mexico City!

ABOUT ME

A little about me... Well, After graduating from the University of Arizona with degrees in Philosophy and Economics, I decided to join the Peace Corp. and ended up in sunny Burkina Faso, Africa. For those of you who haven't been there, Burkina is a lot like Mars, but with Malaria and more bugs.

After 2 years there I decided to spend a third with the Peace Corp. in Guatemala, where I am nearing my close of service and looking forward to the fall in Mexico City, where I was recently awarded a Fulbright!

Anyway, I am extremely laid back and eager to further expand my world-view by trading stories with you!

PHILOSOPHY

After studying philosophy I have realized that the best ones aren't burdened with excess baggage, so I suppose mine would be keep it simple, keep your options open, and aim high!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most recently, I did a lot of surfing with other Volunteers around West Africa, where I was blown away by this amazing continent and many amazing people. There is no better way to experience the world.

Interests

I'm really interested in fine-tuning my Spanish before heading back to school. Also, the economics of developing nations and world politics.

Music, Movies, and Books

Of course all the classics... but I also have a taste for the foreign, the documentary, and the slightly obscure.
