PHILOSOPHY

i think we each have the power to create our own reality through deliberate awareness of self and environment. i'm not entirely sure how to do this, but i'm learning a bit more every day and i'm very interested in exchanging thoughts with others.

when i travel, i surf. when i rest, i host. i've had positive experiences on both ends of the couch.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few Mays ago I stayed on a family farm in northern Iceland and took the night shift in the sheep house during the lambing. Honestly I spent most of the time sitting on a pile of hay and knitting all night long, but whenever a ewe began giving birth I would watch and make sure everything went smoothly, and a few times I had to get involved wrist- or elbow-deep to help the lamb(s) into this world. It was a beautiful experience at a number of levels.

Since then I've given birth. That blows every other experience out of the water.

Teach, Learn, Share

i can teach about spinning wool, knitting, and crochet. i can show you what i do in the kitchen though im no expert and i mostly make stuff up as i go. i'm happy to chat about philosophy or my experiences with teaching children. i want to learn hypnosis and juggling and how to make pickles.
