About Me

CURRENT MISSION

RE-LOVE-UTION

ABOUT ME

I'm passionate about art, Brussels history and tarot de Marseille, eager to learn to know other people. I'm an artivist, pretty idealistic and trying to improve the live here in this chaotic city. I'm flexiterian and try to live as ecologically as possible. I'm father of two girls, so my first 'mission' in life would be taking care about them becomming happy, independent women.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't panic!

Don't take yourself too seriously.

Experience and learn as much as possible, and have fun doing so.

Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself.

There's much more in life than work! ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to travel as basically as possible, so if I can help someone to stay in Brussels without ruining himself I'll be happy. But don't consider me as just a free hotel, I'll feel abused. I hosted couchsurfers from the US, Germany, France, Switserland, Sweden, Poland, South-Korea, New-Zeeland, Australia, Taiwan & Brazil. And I love it! =;-) I also hosted Emma, my first couchsurfing dog! =:-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I tend to host more than I'm a guest myself. I like hosting because meeting travellers gives me the feeling I'm travelling all year long and not only during my hollydays. I met some wonderfull people this way and some became true friends. Other advantage: it's good practice for my daughters' english and it makes them eager to travel the world.I'm also active in the Brussels CS community. I like to give guided tours in the city or in an art exhibition. Feel free to ask me.

Interests

Addicted to art, photography, streetart, history, fine arts, museums, travelling, Tarot, social causes, environemental issues.
I love meeting open minded people from all over our 'small' planet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a science fiction fan, but I kinda like pretty much every kind of movies depending on my mood of the moment. "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind", "Amélie Poulain", "Into the wild", ...
Music is always on when I'm home and it might be the only thing I sometimes miss when I travel.
I love books! Got too much of them... anybody want some? =:-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pretty long time ago I cycled with my best friend from Leuven to the sea shore AND back in 24h. It might not be an amazing thing to everyone but it was a very nice stunt at the time, especially cycling all night till the sun came up again :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a big Tarot fan. So if you want a crash course in tarology you're @ the right address!!
I can take you for a tour of the city and show some fun stuff like graffiti, weird remains of history and what's supposed to be contemporary art... Just stop me when I'm talking to much, I might give you an overload of info ;-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My Tarot passion. A view of the city that's more than the tourist stuff. Laughs; good conversation. (I'm not a beer drinker, so I really can't help you on that aspect).

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
