CURRENT MISSION
Have adventures, change world, try to get some sleep at some point.
ABOUT ME
I live here: http://cpd.org.au
Running a start-up think tank is eating my life, but in my mostly non-existent spare time I get seriously enthusiastic about cooking, booty music, and sentences with triplets in. Sometimes I write geeky white-girl hip-hop. I have itchy feet, which I've been ignoring lately so I can stay home to Make Cool Shit Happen. That's the theory anyway. But I just got a grant to go to the UK and US meeting up with other progressive think tanks, which means I now have one precious month of officially sanctioned travel time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well I only just signed up, so I can't really say yet, but I have a tattoo of the indo word for 'homeless wanderer' on my left ankle, I once blogged for nomadology: http://dislocated.org/nomadology/user_new.php?user_id=12, and I like random adventures with complete strangers more than most things in the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I once spent a couple months traveling through Indonesia and Malaysia interviewing community and independent media types, which led me to the amazing Ise from ParkingProject in KL. He had a small studio with a room plastered in posters and set aside for traveling artists and 'SuperFriends' and was the best host-cum-tourguide I've ever come across.

Teach, Learn, Share
I have a thing for social change strategy. I'd be keen to meet up with US progressive types who are thinking about what happens /after/ the election.
