ABOUT ME

In short, I feel I am a free thinking lady who continually searches to find the good in every experience. Each day I try to find something to look forward to and often find happiness in the simplest things. As I grow older, I gain a greater appreciation for my past and those who have made me who I am today.

I feel like I am in a great stage in life that allows the luxury of being young coupled with the gratification of "earning my way." Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by all that I am passionate about and the urge that I have so much to give combined with the frustration of not even knowing where to start. I am an artist at heart struggling to find my place and environment to thrive.

Gosh darn it...I love life and being happy! Simple as that!

PHILOSOPHY

Make the most of every moment! I have a new found mission to reconnect with people on a personal level. I feel our society is slowing losing face-to-face interaction. I'm frustrated by the loss of community and trust within our culture. The whole concept is disheartening and have begun to make my stand of resistance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently participate in local couch surfing meetings in Boise. It is a great experience that has brought me closer to some AWESOME people in Boise and formed a greater appreciation for the couch surfing mission.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS completely changed my idea of travel and has allowed me to connect with amazing people I would have otherwise never met. It is simply fabulous!

Interests

Uniqueness, individuality, art, life, great music, little moments that make my soul smile, meeting a stranger I instantly connect with, the feeling of insignificance to something greater than myself that leaves me feeling invigorated instead of defeated, nature, laughing, being silly and light-hearted, driving with my hand out the window, the smell of the air in the mountains, lemon scented wet-naps, bridges, tunnels, seeing a great tree, singing, showers, singing in the shower, ridiculous sunglasses, someday owning a green and white VW Van that spreads joy to the world simply by driving down the street, having a great beer or glass of wine in the sunshine, people with great stories...

Music, Movies, and Books

If only I had the time to list them all! In short, music constantly changes my life and I would be incomplete without it. Any artistic form of expression; whether it be music, movie, books, theater; constantly motivates me while allowing me to better understand myself at the same time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching clouds slowly transform into vaguely distinguishable shapes as I sat on the deck of Granite Park Chalet (Glacier National Park) at 3 A.M. The full moon provided the most amazing spotlight on the transforming clouds that rolled below me in a valley created by ancient mountains on the Rocky Mountain front. It was an experience that left my soul at peace.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a teacher by profession, but I feel an invaluable attribute in life is an undying curiosity. There is a push in me to constantly learn and grow and teach from my experiences and opportunities handed to me. Such is life!
