ABOUT ME

Right now I live in the middle of the North Cascades National Park where I educate students about the natural history of the area. Living in a national park is a dream come true for me. I hike or run through the forest every day and camp and canoe whenever I can. I also love just spending time observing the natural world be it bird-watching, sketching or identifying plants.
I am a vegan and have been for 8 years. I love meeting other vegans/ vegetarians or people interested in it and sharing recipes and experiences.
I look forward to meeting interesting new people and building a stronger international community, one couch at a time.

PHILOSOPHY

I have dedicated my life to education because I believe that empowering the next generation with knowledge is one of the best steps I can take to make this world a better place to live in.

My first experience couch surfing was with Ashley and David in Portland, OR. I had a great time with them and look forward to my next couch surfing experience!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sunrise in the North Cascades from a mountaintop and clouds drift down into valleys as the light expands outward.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am pretty knowledgeable about natural history and love to go hiking and talk about local flora and fauna and how to identify them.
I'm interested in improving my vegan cooking/ baking skills and I'd also like to learn more Spanish.
