Chi sono
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world and give others the opportunity to do the same. I love the idea of creating a friendly and safe global community.
ABOUT ME
Salt Lake City, UT is home. I've traveled all over the US and been to 22 different countries so far. I love the outdoors. Anything that involves hiking, backpacking, and/or camping is what I enjoy the most. But I'm also a born and raised city boy, so I'm very much at home there. I love all kinds of music, art, theater, and literature. I love to learn new things and find ways to make things better for everyone. I'm a bit irreverent at times, but my intentions are always toward the collective good.
PHILOSOPHY
I got into nursing to try to do something positive with my life and make a contribution, whether locally or internationally. I guess that's my philosophy with wanting to travel as well. Do something positive for myself and those I meet. By sharing and helping each other to understand our cultures, languages, and beliefs. The closer we get to understanding that we're not all that different, the better this world will be to live in. No place is really that foreign.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was introduced to this website by two great friends in Salt Lake who have hosted several surfers, and two of those surfers from Australia who were kind enough to share their many experiences with me. I CSed through Europe in 2008. I've been out of the CS loop for a while, but looking forward to getting back into it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I CSed through 12 countries in Europe and nothing but good experiences! Every host I've had and every CSer I've met so far has been awesome! They've all been warm, welcoming, helpful, and fun. What a great community to be a part of!
Interessi
My favorite things to do involve hiking, backpacking, and camping. But I'm equally at home in the big cities. I love all kinds of music, literature, film, theater, and art. Anything that involves learning, seeing new sights, and having new experiences, I'm in! I've also discovered a new love of learning languages. I studied French years ago and currently getting pretty good at Spanish.

Musica, film e libri
My taste in music is much too varied to describe. My favorite author is Jack Kerouac. I love poetry, reading spiritual texts from all of the worlds religions and philosophy as well. I always have a book of some kind on my person and I'm usually in the middle of 2 or 3 at a time. I'm also a movie junkie. Anything that makes me think is good.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
Where do I start?
Insegna, impara, condividi
I guess the obvious is my medical knowledge. Being a nurse, I don't know everything, but I know a lot, and if you're injured, bleeding, sick, or otherwise impaired, don't worry, I know what to do! As I said before, I'm learning Spanish, so I'd love to meet Spanish speakers to help me along and I'm more than willing to help non-English speakers with their English. And even though they tend to be "dangerous" subjects, I love discussing religion and politics.
