I grew up the child of avid travelers and I get stir crazy when I stay in any one place for too long.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being a student and switching jobs and internships frequently, it is difficult for me to say I can offer a couch, especially considering I live with 2 others and need to be respectful of their space. Nonetheless, I am eager to show travelers around New York City, maybe some of the places guidebooks wouldn't show you. If you really need a place, shoot me a message and I'll see if the couch is available for a night, no promises though.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend wanted to try couch surfing so when we traveled to Latvia we were able to stay with two really cool kids in Riga who showed us their city from the perspective of normal people, rather than tourists. I also got to meet some pretty awesome couch surfers when I lived in Berlin.

I'm a total news-junkie and also enjoy all sorts of sports, mostly tennis, soccer, and skiing. My area of focus in college is cultural studies specializing in Africana and gender/ sexuality (queer theory(, so I guess I'd call that an interest.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I'm a big fan of Dorothy Parker and Tennessee Williams.
Some of my favorite musicians are Madonna, the Smiths, the Knife, Courtney Love, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joan Jett and Le Tigre.
As far as movies and TV go, I've been enjoying lots of 90s nostalgia lately, like Empire Records, Clueless, Buffy and the X-Files.

I was in Stuttgart when Germany played for 3rd place in the 06 World Cup.

I'm studying Social and Cultural Analysis with specializations in Africana studies and gender and sexuality studies. If you happen to be interested in any of that I can talk about it at length.

I know great bars and clubs in New York and would love to share my favorite spots with couchsurfers.
