ABOUT ME

I'm a very easy going guy who loves to travel, meet new people, learn new things and gather experiences. I believe in treating everyone how I like to be treated and being open to new opportunities. I think I'm very knowledgeable about lots of things, I have a strong creative streak... but I also dont mind getting a little crazy / shenanigans. hmm.. so i guess that means im flexible and fun!

I have a couple of university qualifications (IT, Business Management, Knowledge Management Honours). And I work at the National Australia Bank as Manager of Knowledge Services But thats the boring stuff. I also do some graphic design on the side and Im a budding photographer. (search for me on Flickr!)

PHILOSOPHY

Journeys bring power and love back to you. If you can't go somewhere, move in the passageways of the self. They are like shafts of light, always changing, and you change when you explore them.

In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond; And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow, your heart dreams of spring. Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate of eternity.

I also have some simple things I try and live by... firstly I work and study a bit in group relations and interactions. From this I understand how much we impact on what happens to us and how we connect with others. This is a powerful understanding... but worth the effort.
Secondly... some rules that help. 1) Never Turn down an invitation (to do something).. no excuses (money, time, effort, dont know anyone, sick etc... not good enough). 2) Never be the first to go home. 3) Always be truthful about things that matter. 4) Smile!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I signed up a while ago and my profile was lost. I couchsurfed a few times in Europe a few years ago and have encouraged others to get involved since. Well at least the people I think are worthy :). My housemate (who owns the house) has since had a number of couchsurfers we have been able to accommodate. We are very worldly well traveled people and have a lot of contacts overseas too and this just helps that further. Im hoping to participate more in the future wherever I end up... stay tuned!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nice (France) = Awesome. Best first experience!!
Switzerland - Not through this site but could have been... life long friends from this. Able to return the favor for them in Perth, Melbourne and Ballarat through my contacts. I even asked them to come to my family Christmas celebrations when they were here. They visit my brother in London regularly now and Im hoping to go visit them in the next few months. All that from a random meeting!!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Will fill this in soon... I have so many wonderful and amazing experiences that Im privileged to have been involved in. A lot involving travel to some places not many people go.
- Traveling in the Outback by compass across dunes and not seeing anyone for 2 weeks.
- Hiking in Tasmanian wilderness
- Swimming in the crystal clear waters of Fraser Island
- Watching the Sun go down over the Cinque Terra in Italy
- Sneaking into the Fortress in Salzburg and watching over the town while an 'invitation' only Mozart concert was happening behind us
- Staying in shacks on the beach at Cape Tribulation Queensland watching a tropical storm come in while drinking beer
- A plastic bag floating around to music and... hang on... that was in the movie :P haha
