About Me

CURRENT MISSION

loving God by loving God's world

ABOUT ME

I graduated from Winona State in May '10 and just moved to a suburb of Denver, CO. I am hoping to find a job as an elementary school teacher. Until then I'm planning on enjoying everything Colorado has to offer! I love the outdoors and couldn't be more thrilled to have the Rocky Mountains in my backyard. Sports are a big part of my life-I can almost always be found either playing or watching them. HUGE Chicago Bears & White Sox fan! I'm very laid back, independent outgoing, and social. I am always looking for a good time and opportunities to meet new people. If you can make me laugh chances are we'll be good friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was introduced to CS by my older brother, Karl, who has a wealth of couch surfing experience. I began CS as the "little sister" who tagged along on my brother's adventures, and now I'm hoping to become an independent traveller/host (although the company of my brother is still enjoyed).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Italy in the summer of '07 & meeting my family's long-lost relatives who spoke very little/no English & hadn't had ANY contact with their American relatives until my brother went overseas in March and found them. We communicated with them by speaking Spanish while they spoke Italian since the two languages are similar. Very difficult, but truly an amazing experience! They were great, warm & hospitable people- not to mention amazing cooks!
