ABOUT ME

I am very outgoing, friendly, love to joke around. Very laid back and trying to be as worldly experienced as possible. I've hitchhiked across Canada before, lived overseas and taught English. I've never had a bad experience travelling and find it easy to get along with anyone.

PHILOSOPHY

Fear is what keeps us from experiencing life, if you let yourself live without fear--you'll see the world in a whole new light.

When you meet new people and travel somewhere you've never been, you end up knowing that much more about how the world works. You become less naive and more accepting. Your respect for everything that's different grows, and you want to see and experience more. That's why I want to travel and meet new people. Live in different lives.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you need a place to stay near toronto it's most likely that I can swing you some space in my house. When I hitchhiked back from BC I brought a friend with me who stayed a year before moving out, I've also hosted space for a friend from California, and several times for a friend from Winnipeg. I'm hoping to meet some couches I can surf if/when I get out to do the travel I so desire.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only met one person from CS, they had their own hotel, but we still managed to hook up and hang out a couple time :) I've stayed with several random people across Canada, took a 3 day bus ride out to California to stay with a friend. Had a friend in Japan host me in his house 2 weeks. And as previously stated, have hosted 3 people for extended periods of time in my house before.

Music - To list a few without going overboard-- Sufjan Stevens, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Do Make Say Think, Mogwai, Broken Social Scene, Ratatat, Girl Talk, Stars, and etc etc etc(could go on forever).
Movies - Oldboy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, The Enigma of Kasper Hauser, Usual Suspects, many many more--I mostly love foreign cinema and documentries, but there's definitely a lot of quality American/Canadian cinema too.

I hitchhiked across Canada with a friend on a whim. From British Columbia to Ontario when I was 19.

Teach, Learn, Share

Keep an open mind, you'll need it when you travel. Cultures are so different from place to place, you won't experience any culture shock if you are ready for anything.
