ABOUT ME

I love to travel, to meet people from other places and other cultures, and to have a good time! I'm friendly, optimistic, and very easy going. I like to camp, hike, snowboard, go to the beach or the bar or a museum. I believe that there is a lot we can learn by meeting people who have a different experience in this world. I want to learn about you and where you're from, and tell you about my life and adventures as well!

Interests

People I've never met, places I've never seen, things I've never done... I'm pretty much up for anything. I like variety. I like talking about ideas and differences, and have found that drinking a beer can help. I like the beach and the mountains, the city and the countryside. Live music. I usually travel on a tight budget, but I want to do it all!

Music, Movies, and Books

I just read 'Travels' by Michael Crichton and loved it. Also enjoy Palahnuik, Orwell and Huxley, Clockwork Orange, Catch-22, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, and H.S. Thompson's Hells Angels. I like all kinds of movies, especially comedies, and all kinds of music, especially if I can see it performed live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went Parabungee jumping in Queenstown, New Zealand. This is where you start on a boat, then parasail behind it, and bungee jump from the parachute. You get picked up by another boat. It was awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've done quite a bit of traveling around the US, and some internationally. I've had jobs fixing cars, doing electrical work, and working in hospitality at some very nice hotels. I have a lot of experience, but no particular specialty. I'm really interested in learning what people from other countries think about Americans, and showing them the difference between American politics and American people.
