ABOUT ME
I currently live in Orange County, NY (I know my profile says Clark, NJ - I cannot edit that until I get verified). I work as a teacher/mentor for people who are interested in learning primitive skills!
PHILOSOPHY
So i was flipping through a random book about high-end expensive furniture the other day, and i came across this quote that i believe is from hermann hesse:
Man has no tasks except one:to find the way to himself, to discover his own destiny - not and arbitrary one - and live it out wholly and resolutely within himself....Many times I had fantasized about my future, about becoming a painter or poet or prophet, or something similiar. Nothing of the sort....All that is secondary. The genuine vocation of each man is to find the way to himself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I took a break from Couchsurfing for a few years, but now I'm back. I've mostly seemed to host people - either passing through for a day, but every now and again, while Im traveling, I get to stay with someone and make a new friend.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Overall, it's been really good. Ive met some great, life-long friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a very cold 6 months out here living in a tipi with my dog and a moose nearby. That year got so much snow that when it all melted, the creek it was near jumped up several feet higher than it ever has and destroyed everytthing.
