ABOUT ME
i am a traveler by heart, this is who i am. i dont smoke, and on the occasion i might have a beer, maybe. to me working is only for saving funds for the next trip. after nearly 18yrs of traveling and working abroad, i have returned to canada, as i need to earn and save more. my new found passion is overland travel by motorcycle.
i have extensive overland travel through central america, south korea, the length of russia several times (vladivostok, magadan to moscow), central asia, and east europe.
did i say i love to travel?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Im new to this, as just a few days ago, primarily cause I never heard about it. I heard a few other travelers talking about this and thought that I would look into it. So here I am. I will add more to this as I learn more about this site.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I havent had the chance to experience couchsurfing yet, but as i am heading to europe this summer i hope to have my "first experience". This site is still very new to me but the concept of meeting people along the way and visiting/staying/crashing at their places along the way is not.
Interests
Travel, motorcycles, did i already say travel? This is just who I am. if there is one thing that i am sure about, it is that i was born to be a traveler. I am an outdoor type of a person, who enjoys walking, hiking, camping. I am also very fond of traveling by motorcycle.

Music, Movies, and Books
Im not really a music person, I do have music but I dont travel with any sort of a music player, so, anything goes. Same goes with movies. I might read the odd book from time to time, but perhaps, not as much as I should.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Tanzania.
early 2007 i recieved an email from my father asking if i was interested in climbing kilimanjaro. he then went on to say how it started off among his hiking friends. they all said that they were interested. so my father started to make the planning. one by one the all came up with excuses as to why they couldnt. so i recieved an email asking if i was interested. i said name the time and place.
"Amazing thing seen". watching the sun rise over mawenzi. it was cold, but it was one of the best sunrises.
climbing to the sumit of kilimanjaro wasnt easy. nothing was going to stand in my way. all that i was focused on was making it to the top. it was only when i reached the top i turned around to see where i have come from. then it hit me. the view was such, that as i write this now tears come to my eyes. it really was that good. i wanted to sit there all afternoon had it not been for the headache. its what i would imagine mount Olympias to be like.
without a doubt, that has been the most amazing things that i have done, so far.
