About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to see things and meet people. Broad and simple.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Providence, RI, grew up in Old Saybrook, CT, moved to New Haven, CT, and after graduating from Emerson College, now reside in Cambridge, MA. Throughout the years, I've been a film major, noneducational English major, and ended up a radio broadcasting major with a minor in sociology. I'm a cinephile and a music junkie. I'll watch anything from Tank Girl to Cache, and listen to anything from Peggy Lee to Converge. I've been a production intern at WFNX 101.7 FM Boston, which is a alternative rock station, and a daytime DJ for WERS 88.9 FM. I had my own show online, Damn the Format!, at http://wecb.emerson.edu. I work one job as a waiter/bartender at Bertucci's. Outside of that, you'll probably find me at a concert somewhere.

PHILOSOPHY

i am a dualist, a functionalist, a proponent of the conflict theory of social organization, and a nontheist. I live life because I find it interesting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just trying to see this country and meet its coolest people along the way. While I can seldom afford to do a lot of traveling, I do have plenty of couches and floorspace to dole out and love having people from all over stopping in for a few days.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with Shannon O'Donnell in Hollywood, it was a blast. I also walked around Boston with Malcolm Anderson while he was over here from New Zealand. Seeing the sites and eating Irish food. In the last few months I have hosted numerous amounts of people and absolutely love the "revolving door" effect it has brought to my apartment.

Interests

a whole lot of stuff: the social sciences, English, communications, photography, film, most music, theatre, with deep love for the dadaists and the new flux of cabaret.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunrise at the Grand Canyon was pretty breathtaking.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to take care of mice in a lab situation. I don't know how that could help you, but if you need me to spot a sickness or separate a harem cage, I'm your man. I also full of all sorts of random information. I can talk at great lengths about political science and sociology, and greater lengths about film and music. I know my way around ProTools fairly well, and can give you all sorts of pointers on how to sound good on the radio.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, United States
