COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In summer 2008, my sisters and I were blessed to find some really great hosts as we traveled in London and around Italy. In August 2009, my brother and I surfed in a Chicago apartment during Lollapalooza weekend with about 20 other people! I also surfed while traveling in South America.
I hosted while living in San Diego, Philadelphia, and Portland, Oregon. It's so rewarding to give back to the community and to show off what you love about your city!

MUSIC: Favorite bands are TOOL, Radiohead, Fiona Apple, The Smiths, PJ Harvey, Fugazi, My Morning Jacket, The Mars Volta, Smashing Pumpkins, Tori Amos. I like hip-hop, classic rock, prog, '80s, electronic, anything I can dance to, which for me is anything! Alt-J is my new favorite. Reggae and zydeco make me really happy.

MOVIES: American Beauty, Fight Club, The Big Lebowski, High Fidelity, Office Space, The Game, Wonder Boys, The Usual Suspects

BOOKS: "Vagabonding" by Rolf Potts is an absolute must for anyone who dreams of traveling the world. Some favorite grammar-nerd books: "Lapsing into a Comma," "Eats, Shoots & Leaves"

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I drove across the country from Pennsylvania to California, taking a southern route with stops at caverns and an underground lake in Virginia, toured Elvis' mansion at Graceland, went horseback riding in a canyon in Texas, saw the red rocks in Sedona, Arizona, hiked down into the Grand Canyon and won $300 on a slot machine in Vegas! Since then, I´ve driven the northern route across the U.S. twice, discovering Yellowstone, one of my favorite places in the world.
