ABOUT ME

Honest, open-minded, always ready to laugh, love to smile, daydreamer, happy-go-lucky, studious, willing to learn and experience new things, silly, happy, quirky, curious... whatever I feel like being that day.

I'm a huge nerd. I get excited about learning new things. I read anything I can get my hands on. I like puzzles, jigsaw and other.

I'm not a big drinker and I don't smoke. I prefer quiet evenings as opposed to bar hopping and big parties, but I will go out for special occasions or if it's just been a while and I'm stir crazy.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life as much in the moment as possible. There's almost always something positive that can be taken from any experience and when I'm living in that moment I can appreciate it to the fullest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, I've only gone to a couple of local events in Chicago and St Louis and I've only surfed a couple of couches. I would like to keep going to events and meeting new people. And, of course, I would love to show someone around Springfield if anyone shows an interest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't done much travelling, but the few experiences I've had have all been wonderful. I recently stayed with CS Sarah Allsberry on her couch in Edwardsville. She was a very considerate host and made sure that I was comfortable.

Interests

My two favorite hobbies are playing pool and reading a book. I play pool three times a week and I'll read just about anything I get my hands on in almost any subject, but I particularly enjoy a good fantasy novel. I've also recently aquired a taste for roller skating, although I still can't stop once I start moving.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, like I said before, I'll read anything. My favorites are fantasy and sci-fi novels, but I also love non-fiction and mystery. I even listen to books on tape at work! Oh, yeah. I dig the comics, too. I'm a Marvel Universe kind of girl.

****Update**** I've been reading some the Green Lantern books and they are amazing!!!

I'm a sucker for a good movie. If I had to list my favorites I guess I would pick: Stardust, Serendipity, Iron Man, Death at a Funeral, Amelie, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon... this list could go on and on. I'm also a huge anime fan. My favorite anime movie would have to be Princess Mononoke.

I'm all over the place with music, too. Jazz, blues, rock, metal, pretty much anything but country and most rap.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once gave my heart and soul completely into the keeping of another person. It was the most amazing experience of my life.

I climbed the Bastille during a demonstration in Paris.
