ABOUT ME

Samantha and myself are a married couple whom have been together for eleven years. We have lived in the carribean together for 6+ years, but I have been here two years before. We have had a blast, and are looking forward to the next leg of our journey. We are quite easy to get along with, and always look forward to meeting forward people. Our current homebase is in Charleston, SC. We have nothing but time right now and options unlimited.....

To learn in a lifetime sense. To glean something positive from every person ever met. To exude love and open mindedness everywhere and hope it finds purchase. To have a grab-bag of eclectic friends from all walks of life. To personify the idea that life is not a spectator sport.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have been hosted many times and met countless couchsurfers since joining. We have hosted couchsurfers in NYC, Boise, and Charleston. We are currently travelling to Scandinavia, then moving to the west coast of the US.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We first surfed on vacation to Europe in 2008 and it was amazing. I have informed many friends in Boise who later became members. We have met many couch surfers in New York and abroad thanks to the amazing members here.

Sailing, hiking, island-hopping, snorkeling, fishing, reading, scary movies, coffee, wine, dining, flying, and all aspects of travel. You can find us in theatres, bars, beaches, boats and cars on long road trips. We run away screaming from yuppies, bigots, pretentious resorts and dishonest people. Lately we have both become quite interested in aviation.

Interests change daily. I love the cheesy scary movies that lack the torture/gore that is so popular. Also the truly feel-good movies. (Little miss sunshine, second hand lions, the greatest game ever played, etc.) Samantha enjoys girlie movies (the girl who got her feelings hurt, only to find out it was all a big romantic misunderstanding and fell in love...) Music, we like it live; any sort.

We've seen the Misty Fjords of Alaska in the morning. We've watched a pod of dolphins playfully leap alongside a boat in the carribean sunshine. I've dove with millions of living creatures around me. Is any of that amazing?

Well, between us we can: make a perfect latte or martini, guide a raft down big whitewater, fly a small plane, make whiskey, tie a fishhook, tell a joke, change a starter, hold our own on a foosball table, and party like it's our job. We would like to learn anything we don't know, to be honest.
