Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've yet to actually surf, but have enjoyed hosting for a few years now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had some wonderful experiences hosting surfers in our last home in Kamloops. People coming through on journeys of their own and inspiring us to continue ours. It's always a pleasure.

Interests

So so many. Midwifery and Prenatal Yoga for Sam. The various tones, shapes, and pigments of the English language as well as home building and design for Darryl. Going for "walkies" and eating hypoallergenic food for Obi.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hopefully without a pretense to snobbery, our musical sensibilities generally prefer the nascent genres of Modern Classical, Experimental Acoustic, Folk and Abstract-like stuff. Some current artists: Solo Andata, Balmorhea, Boards of Canada, Taylor Deupree, The Books, Christoper Willits, The Green Kingdom, Iambic, E.S.T., Part Timer, and Helios just to name one or two. Enthusiastic file transfers will be on tap on arrival.

In regards to literature, hopefully one day by means of osmosis we can absorb the succulent wisdom from the loads we`ve amassed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Darryl: "Well, we did get down on the beaches of the Yucatan, eh Sam?"

Sam: "Haha, this is true, very true. Anything else?"

Teach, Learn, Share

Sam is a full time yoga instructor who will share her love via a free class to anyone who stops through on one of her teaching days...also a doula on the way to applying to a midwifery program, so very passionate about childbirth and can talk for hours on the subject if anyone else is interested. Darryl is an English Studies major and loves to get into a good conversation about anything pertaining to language and the arts. We both love to share music! Bring music!
