ABOUT ME

Hi! I am a college student, majoring in Sociology, at Brown University in Providence, RI. After college, I would like to go to grad school for Sociology and hopefully become a professor. I am very interested in education, public health, social movements, identity, inequality, and power structures. I spent my spring semester in New York City studying urban education while working with students who were pregnant or parenting at Brooklyn Young Mothers' Collective. I am currently working on my thesis project, Structures of Inequality: Educational Attainment for Pregnant and Parenting Students in New York City.
I grew up in a beautiful small town in western Massachusetts. In my free time I like to go to museums, art galleries, walk around new areas, hike, canoe, and, most of all, read. I do a lot of visual art, mostly drawing and painting, but I have recently gotten into photography. I am also obsessed with food. I am half Italian and love Italian food, but I also love just about anything else, especially Indian, Thai, and Japanese food. My favorite food in the world is sushi.
I love traveling and meeting new people. I am a very open-minded person who welcomes new experiences. I spent last summer travelling around Europe with two friends for seven weeks. I worked on an organic farm in the Netherlands and also visited Denmark, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. It was great to stay with so many couchsurfing hosts and get to see the country through their eyes.
I am currently planning a two month roadtrip around the USA with my partner, Jesse, for this summer. We cant wait to meet new couchsurfers in our travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Last summer, I couchsurfed all over Europe with two friends. We also met up with other couchsurfers for coffee or a drink, and we participated in couchsurfing activities which we found on various forums. I will also be couchsurfing around USA this summer. In the past I have been unable to host because I lived in a dorm, but I hope to be able to host in my new house in Providence next year!
